Want to buy and reno a chateau for your passion project?
We have been living vicariously through the antics of a wacky English couple on Binge who bought and renovated a 45 room Chateau with a moat on 12 acres in France. They established a wedding venue, luxury accommodation, glamping ` and recently a narrow boat on the moat for additional accommodation.
They are living out my sneaky dream ( and possibly yours) of renovating a historic building. We definitely don’t need to travel to Europe to do it. Destination accommodation is going off in Australia right now.
Creating holiday experiences is one more string to the renovators bow. We can live out our dreams and add income and wealth to our asset base in the process. The best part is that we don’t even have to own the property.
You could say they are passion projects. Passion project is usually code for ‘Money Pit”
We do them differently . In our world the passion project means “ win- win”. We do feasibility to make sure the project not only satisfies our romantic ideas , it also contributes significantly to our financial goals
Several of our renovators have already embarked on the journey of creating destination passion projects – a pied de terre, a parisian bake house , a historic church and river cottages, off grid tiny houses to name a few.
They are ALL low budget with big upsides.
