Hi it’s Bernadette Janson from The School of Renovating and I’m going to give you a really powerful little Airbnb tip today. It seems obvious but it’s amazing the difference it makes.
The tip is that to be really conscious of the human contact that you provide your guests. Now I was looking at our listings one day because we were really struggling to maintain our Superhost status. We were getting a four-star review quite frequently.
And for silly little things that, you know, really should not have been, you know like four-star worthy. But when I was going over our listings I noticed that one listing in particular was really standing out in terms of five-star reviews.
And it was just a single room that our son was renting out. So he was living in the apartment and he was renting his main bedroom out. Now he didn’t go to anywhere near the effort that we went to with all our other listings yet he was getting the five-star review.
And I figured out from that that the difference was the human contact. Okay? So if you are struggling with getting really positive reviews – you’re having grumbles, people grumbling and complaining about things that are not complaint worthy – consider that they may not be getting enough human contact from you and take the measures to increase that.
That’s me for today. See you in the next video!
